The Sierra Cortina Resort
Sierra Cortina Resort is a family friendly and unique luxurious residential complex on the Costa Blanca build on 1 million m2. It is made up of little villages which have the enchantment of the Mediterranean look and enjoy a privileged position between the sea and the mountains of which it offers breathtaking views. It is situated in the municipal district of Finestrat, very close to Benidorm and the Mediterranean coast. It has now opened its own 18 holes golf course with very low initial greenfees. The clubhouse offers also Spa, pool, gym, paddle and tennis courts.
Beside a number of luxury hotels, golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and other sports facilities in the vecinity you can enjoy on the Resort itself the shops, social club, restaurant,bars, gym, health Spa, Pitch and Putt, tennis and the 24 hours security service. The area
Sierra Cortina Resort is situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca, at the foot of Puig Campana and the Sierra Cortina mountains. These mountains protect the coast from the winds and provides a microclimate. From Finistrat it is easy to get inland and enjoy a nice day out by car or, why not, on bike. Apart from Benidorm, wellknown for its beaches and nightlife you will find the smaller villages of Villajoyosa, Altea, Alfaz del Pi, Albir, Relleu, Sella and many others next door. The city of Alicante is also only half an hour away with all its restaurants, chill out bars at the harbour or its lively old town centre by night. It is worth to take the Alicante – Denia tram one day to enjoy some spectacular views of the Costa Blanca. To the North you will find the city of Valencia, not far for a day out. For some huge sandy beaches you may want to try the ones at San Juan, just North of Alicante or Denia, both some 20 minutes drive away. Cala Finestrat is the beach next to the one of Villajoyosa and is quite popular as it will give access to some more smaller beaches.
Also nearby the Sierra Cortina Resort are the theme park Terra Mítica, excellent for a day with children, and the nature park Terra Natura. For the golfers there are two 18-hole courses designed by Jack Nicklaus at the Real de Faula Resort, next to Terra Mitica and a lot more a bit further out. The Resort itself has opened its own 18 holes course since early 2008 where initial greenfees are only 25 €! The Mediterranean Casino and the regional hospital are only 4 miles away. Hypermarkets, comercial centres, cinemas and other shops and services are in Finestrat and many other places.
Access
The airport of Alicante, El Altet, is only 30 minutes away. See also some links for budget flights on our link pages.
By car follow the toll road AP7, from Alicante to Valencia or from Valencia to Alicante and take exit 65A, Terra Mitica. After the toll booth go left on the first roundabout, proceed to the second roundabout, also take the left exit and finally at the third roundabout go left once more (take the last exit). You will now easily find the Sierra Cortina Resort.
