The development
Señorio de Roda, after which this brand new open development is named, dates back to the 16th Century and is home to the Urbina family. The development is build as a truly Spanish village and has communal swimming pools. Around the houses there are still orange trees to be found. The homes are close to everything you may need but the streets in front are quiet and it is therefore a great place to relax.
The holiday homes
In Señorio de Roda you will find apartments of 2 and 3 bedrooms with their terrace or even a huge solarium and townhouses with a private garden and solarium. All homes are new and completely furnished. No need to bring towels or sheets. Just your beach towel!
The area
Los Alcazares at the Costa Calida, sits on the Mar Menor, a unique inland sea, separated from the Mediterranean and has been awarded the blue flag of excellence. It also has a beautiful new promenade to stroll at night. Within a short distance from the town there are a number of beaches and small coves to choose from. Water sports are available at the Mar Menor and there are riding stables in the area giving the opportunity of viewing the countryside on horseback.
The lovely cities of Cartagena and Murcia are within 20 minutes drive, providing shops, bars, restaurants and beautiful architecture. Cartagena has been renowned as an important port since Roman times and Murcia a Mecca for shops, bars and architecture. The city of Alicante is a little over an hour drive away.
The area of Los Alcazares, Los Narejos, San Javier and nearby Santiago de la Ribera is a much sought-after location for Spanish families who want to live in quality surroundings, adding this authentic Spanish touch to things.
For golfers there are numerous golf courses within easy reach of the house, including the Roda Golf & Beach resort course only 500 meters away, the new municipal course La Serena, the Polaris Mar Menor Resort and the renowned La Manga resort and its 3 courses only a few minutes drive. Access
Señorio de Roda is just 10 minutes away from the San Javier airport and 1 hour from Alicante (El Altet) airport. An ever growing number of budget airlines, like fly daily to these airports. See also one of our link pages. At each of these airports you can hire a car, take a taxi or arrange for picking up. It is also next to the motorway AP7, which connects the city of Alicante with Cartagena, exit 786 Los Narejos – Los Alcazares Norte. Once you come off the road turn right towards Los Alcazares and then, after some 500 meters turn right again on the roundabout to Roda. After several 100 meters you cross the AP7 and you will see Roda Golf & Beach Resort on your right hand side and in front of you the colourful homes of Señorio de Roda.
